Here is what conference attendees are saying about FDC 2009...

I was just baptised on June 14, 2009. This was my first conference. What an amazing experience. Evidences of the cross was a very emotional and eye opening class, I was in so much pain just listening and viewing the facts about Jesus's suffering and death. It truly brought me closer to him. Even though I had seen the very recent Mel Gibson movie on the event, this class also made it very real to me. The entire conference was very uplifting and inspiring to me. Thank you for putting this conference together. For a baby Christian, this was a great thing to experience. God is GOOD!!!! (North Broward)

IT WAS WONDERFUL. GREAT CLASSES, GREAT FELLOWSHIP. THANK YOU FOR ALL THOSE THAT PUT INTO THE CONFERENCE TO MAKE IT EXCELLENT.

It was truly an amazing conference and I also agree , the best. The classes were great.I was amazed that we had a lesson on race relations, long overdue.I think it will stir up real and deeper conversations. The hotel was much better to me than the others we've stayed at,big spacious rooms, good restaurants with reasonable prices and many place to have intimate talks (I liked the upper deck). Saturday for me was like heaven, words cannot express. I had 3 new christians and they we blown away by Saturday and the churches passion and "seriousness" on helping people to change with the classes. Thanks again. In addition, I've never missed Demetrius' morning song devotional, well this year was better than ever. More people woke up early, there was a great turn out as Demetrius helped us to focus on songs that spoke only of God.The singing was great as we competed with the singers practicing for Saturday night :-),it was all good.

The conference was great for me it helped me realize my need for people and especially my need for God. The class that made an impact to me was the medical account of the cross, and the depth and personal pain that Jesus went through to have a intimate relationship with me. (South Dade)

Highlights: Saturday night's worship was awesome! I felt like I truly worshiped and offered a sacrifice of praise to God. I kept thinking and hoping God was pleased with us and that the singing and worship were like a sweet smelling frangrance to Him. Thank you so very much for that! I also thought all three major classes were great. It's always good to be reminded of the basics and it's a sign of growth that we can tackle the controversial and challenging issues. I'd like to see us go back to including Thursdays for those who want more in-depth teaching. While the classes on Saturday were good, they were similar to what we get in our own congregatgion. I would like to see more classes on more of the controversial issues and difficult Bible passages. While we need to continue with basic teaching, we need to include more challenging material, especially as the church matures. Superb job! Thanks for a wonderful seminar!

Steve Stephenson's class was memorable. The Worship service Sat night was fabulous; but a little long on its dedication to Sherwin and family. If there were a way to having an amphitheater configuration to the hall there not be so many at the back end of things! (Orlando)

The FDC Planning Committee did an amazing job putting together this years conference. All aspects of the conference made a great impact. The worship service Saturday night at FDC was phenomenal. The variety of songs and talents were encouraging and inspiring. I am grateful to all who share with us in using their talents to glorify God. The devotionals and messages delivered by the preachers/teachers were refreshing to hear. Pardon the bias, but and I am particularly proud of my hubby, Wally. I thought he did a great job teaching a class at FDC. Thanks again for all who contributed to help make this years FDC 2009 an extraordinary experience.

The Saturday Night worship is the best one I have ever listen or seen. It was real, moving, and inspirational. It was not a performance but a worship of believers.

First of all, I would like to say Thank you to all who put this together. I was not able to attend the classes but God is so good and allowed me to be able to attend the service on Sunday. It was so awesome to see so many brothers and sisters from all over that I had not seen in years. My 5 children were able to see friends that they left behind in Broward and new ones they have made in West Palm Beach. The message was so good as well. It cut to the heart, it was so convicting. I am excited about the South Daytona Church. I have my inlaws living there and this will be so awesome to be able to hang out with other disciples now when we go visit. It was so great to be among disciples that I as well as my kids did not want to leave back home. It is awesome to see sooo many together and see the sharing, the victories, hear about the missions. I cannot wait for the next one, I am planning as of right to prepare for the next one so I wont miss out on the classes that I heard were so AWESOME! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everyone that made this happen. Thank you for all the brothers and sisters who were there and we had the chance to talk to each other. Thank you! Thank You!

PRAISE THE LORD! This was a tremendously inspiring weekend for each of us and our son, David, who is on the path to baptism soon in the campus ministry...our last conference was the Summer of 2003 Singles gathering in Washington DC...and this one with our Florida and surrounding family meant so much to participate in the music ministry and marriage classes. Grateful to see the MP3 files available for all classes and the Daytona Church planting receiving the blessing/prayers of the elders. AMEN! Looking forward to serving in whatever capacity the Lord calls us to for the next FDC reunion!

This was my first FDC and I want to say that I had a fantastic time and one I will always remember. I especially enjoyed the Saturday Singing Worship as well as the Sunday worship service. It will also be unforgettable for me because I became engaged during my weekend to my girlfriend Nicole who is also a disciple and now I am wondering if it is recorded as part of the Sunday service since my senior minister, Guy Berndt announced it. Thanks so much for all your encouragement, I look forward to the next one.
